Keeping the family tradition alive, CJ, a German shorthaired pointer, from Temecula, California, won best in show, at the 140th Westminster Kennel Club, in front of a packed house at Madison Square Garden, in New York City, Tuesday evening. CJ’s grandmother, Carlee won at Westminster in 2005.
CJ competed against 2,751 other dogs from almost 200 breeds and varieties.
While CJ does not win any large sum of money as there is no prize money for the win, he now possesses valuable breeding rights and a earned himself a legacy in dogdom forever.
