Griswold Wolverines Eliminated from ECC Tournament.

The Griswold Wolverines boys’ basketball team competed in the semi-finals of the ECC tournament. Their opponent was Woodstock Academy, a team they beat 62 to 50 in January. The Wolverines got off to a rough start, trailing 17 to 11 after one quarter. Griswold tied the game before the end of the second quarter, but Woodstock managed to gain a slight 27 to 23 lead at halftime. Shooting was a problem for the Wolverines in the game, and the Centuars took advantage. Woodstock came out after halftime and added to their lead. They led 47 to 37 after three quarters. Nick Gileau had 22 points, Paroah Curtis had 13 and Max Gregory had 9 points, in the game but it wasn’t enough. Griswold fell to Woodstock Academy 65 to 61. Woodstock moves on to the ECC finals against St. Bernard’s. That game will be this Wednesday, at Waterford High school. As for the Griswold Wolverines, they still have the state tournament.
