On October 18, 2021, the Plainfield Police Department arrested 20 year old Gavin Armstrong of Voluntown, who had an active Arrest Warrant for Sexual Assault in the 2nd Degree. Armstrong was located at his residence and taken into custody without incident.
The arrest stems from a disclosure on June 12, 2021, from a female who reported the sexual assault. After a lengthy investigation an arrest warrant was obtained for Armstrong.
Armstrong was subsequently released on a $25,000 court set non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court on November 8, 2021.
