Sunday morning, Eastern Connecticut felt the effects of an earthquake that occurred off the coast of Massachusetts (Buzzards Bay). Some news organizations are reporting that the quake registered at 4.2 or even 4.0, however, according to the USGS (United States Geological Survey) measured the quake at 3.6
The shaking was felt at approximately 9:10 AM. The effects were felt as far as New Britain, Connecticut.
The last quake in Connecticut was recorded in Newington which registered 1.6 on the scale which started relatively close to the surface, 2 KM deep. That happened in July of 2020.
