(Groton- October 19, 2020) – At approximately 12:39 pm Troopers from Troop E responded to
Groton- New London Airport for reports of an injured male. Upon arrival Troopers found 43 year old Keith Bayer suffering from a single gunshot wound. Bayer was transported via Lifestar to Hartford Hospital.
An update states that on 10/21/20, Bayer was pronounced deceased at Hartford Hospital.
Detectives from the Connecticut State Police Eastern District Major Crime Squad responded to
the scene and assumed the investigation. There is no criminal aspect to this incident.
