The CIAC submitted suggestions to the Connecticut Department of Public Health on Friday with new suggestions and metrics, and strategies. One was even for plastic shields that would go inside the helmets as well as an area that players could recover after a long run which would reduce the number of people on the sidelines.
In a statement from the DPH today, they will still not sanction football in Connecticut unless the National Federation of High Schools reduces football from a high risk to a moderate risk.
