Plainfield Police: Woman Sent To Hospital After Her Car Hit Utility Pole

On January 5, 2019 at approximately 7:58 P.M., members of the Plainfield Police Department responded to the area of 233 Norwich Road, Plainfield, CT, after dispatch received a report of a one car motor vehicle accident with injuries.
Upon arriving on scene an investigation was conducted that determined that a 2001 Honda Civic operated by Judy Mecca, 54, was traveling northbound on Norwich Road when she lost control of the vehicle causing her to travel off the roadway and collide with a utility pole.
Plainfield and Central Village Fire Department arrived on scene and had to extricate Mecca out of the vehicle where she was subsequently transported by American Legion Ambulance to Backus Hospital in Norwich for treatment of injuries.
This accident is still under investigation.
