Plainfield Police Arrest Suspect in Car Burglaries on Gendron Rd

On October 6, 2016 members of the Plainfield Police Department apprehended a suspect that was breaking into vehicles in the area of Gendron Road and Major Drive. Upon obtaining consent to search the vehicle, Officers located numerous items that were taken from unlocked vehicles in the area. The same individual was breaking into vehicles the night of October 5, 2016 in the area of New Road. The suspect was also on several roads in the Moosup section of Plainfield which he was unable to identified. The case remains under investigation and arrest warrants are pending.

The Plainfield Police Department is exhorting residents to lock their vehicles and belongings at all times.
