3 Suspects Lead Groton Police on Chase

imagesOn Monday, February 27, Groton police alerted residents using their Everbridge notification alert system. Their notification let residents know that there was a missing vehicle stolen from the area of Pheasant Run Condos. The suspects, currently labeled as unknown, led Stonington and Groton police on a chase and then eventually located in the woods. On the Ledyard Police Department’s Facebook page, they sent out this small release:

“For those who received our emergency notification in Gales Ferry last evening, LPD Patrol Division apprehended three occupants who fled from a stolen vehicle in the area of the Pheasant Run Condominium complex. The stolen vehicle was recovered.

LPD utilized our Everbridge notification system to alert residents to our activity in the area for your safety. We apologize for any inconvenience but we strive to keep our residents safe and advised of issues that impact our community.
