2nd Arrest Made In Norwich Shooting

On November 1st, 2019 at approximately 1:57a.m., the Norwich Police Department Patrol and Detective Division responded 505 East Main Street, Norwich CT, for disturbance (loud house party). Upon further investigation, officers ultimately determined that during a fight at that location, the accused brandished a firearm and pointed it at the victim. At the same time, a co-defendant, who has already been placed under arrest, discharged a firearm at the victim
The victim, who received a minor injury from the gunshot, was not admitted to the hospital. There was at least one juvenile present during the shooting.
After conducting a thorough investigation led by Detectives Chris Hawrylik and Dennis Bialowas, the Norwich Police Detective Division has arrested 18 year old Kenyatta Peale in regard to this incident and charged with 1st degree threatening, 1st degree reckless endangerment, and risk of injury to a minor. The investigation is ongoing.
Peake is being held on a $50,000 bond and will be presented in Norwich Superior Court on December 26, 2019
