22 Year Old Local Man in Critical Condition After Car Hits His Motorcycle

On April 28, 2020 at approximately 12:07 p.m., Officers from the Plainfield Police Department along with members of the Plainfield Fire Department, American Legion Ambulance, Canterbury Ambulance and the American Ambulance responded to a two car motor vehicle crash in the area of Norwich Road and the entrance of Agway.
A 2019 Hyundai Elantra operated by 82 year old Roswell Grow was facing westbound in the exit of Agway. A 2006 Harley Davidson operated by 22 year old Taylor St. Laurent was northbound on Norwich Road, south of the entrance/exit of Agway. The vehicle Grow was operating pulled out from the exit in an attempt to travel southbound on Norwich Road into the path of the motorcycle operated by St. Laurent. The front of the vehicle Grow was operating struck the front of the motorcycle St. Laurent was operating, causing St. Laurent to be ejected from his motorcycle.
St. Laurent was transported by the American Legion Ambulance to the William W. Backus Hospital located in Norwich Road for treatment of his injuries. Grow and his passenger, 84 year old Patricia Grow were transported by the Canterbury Ambulance to the Plainfield Backus Emergency Department.
St. Laurent is listed in critical condition at this time.
This crash remains under investigation.
