On May 30 , 2022, at approximately 7:49 PM, an accident on Route 32 in Franklin claimed 2 lives making this one of the more deadly Memorial Day weekends in recent past.
20 year old Lauren Foley of Mount Sinai, NY was driving her 2017 Lexus NX2, traveling southbound on Rt 32 in the town of Franklin. The 2nd vehicle involved was 2010 Honda Accord driven by 24 year old Jullian Parilla of Windham, northbound on Rt 32 in the town of Franklin.
Parilla failed to maintain it’s lane traveling across the northbound lane into the southbound lane and hit Foley, who was the only passenger in her car.
Lauren Foley was transported to Hartford Hospital via lifestar for suspected serious injuries. Jullian Parilla was transported to Backus Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Parilla was carrying 2 passengers in his Honda Accord. 25 year old Andre Wade of Willimantic was pronounced dead on scene.
A 2nd passenger in the Accord was 21 year old Isaiah Rivera was transported to Windham Hospital for suspected minor injuries. This case remains under investigation and any witnesses are asked to contact CSP Troop K (860) 465-5400.
