PLAINFIELD TWO CAR MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT – BOTH DRIVES EXTRICATED

On 04/18/2016 at approximately 1:50 PM Members of the Plainfield Police Department, Plainfield Fire Department, and Central Village Fire Department responded to the intersection of Cemetery Road and Lovers Lane located in Plainfield for a report of a two car motor vehicle accident with both operators trapped inside their vehicles requiring extrication.
Through investigation of responding personnel it was determined that Ralph Bryson, 63 years of age, was traveling west bound on Cemetery Road when he crossed over into the opposing lane of traffic colliding head on into a vehicle operated by Linda Poirier, 57 years of age. Both Bryson and Poirier were transported to William W. Backus Hospital with injuries. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and towed from the scene.
The accident remains under investigation by the Plainfield Police Department.
