Attawaugan Woman Killed in One Car Roll Over

On June 5, 2020 at approximately 10:39 P.M. members of the Plainfield Police Department, Atwood Hose Fire Department, and American Legion Ambulance responded to a one car motor vehicle crash on Green Hollow Road in the Wauregan section of Plainfield, Connecticut.
Upon arrival officers located a white Ford Explorer overturned in the woods. One occupant, Wilfredo Cardona, of Danielson, Connecticut had removed himself from the vehicle prior to the arrival of officers. Cardona was subsequently transported to Day Kimball Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Cardona’s girlfriend, Autumn Chase, of Attawaugan, Connecticut, also occupied the vehicle and was found unresponsive and later pronounced deceased on scene at approximately 10:57 P.M. Chase was removed from the vehicle and transported from the scene to the State of Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Farmington, Connecticut where an autopsy will be performed. It should be noted that the Connecticut State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Squad (C.A.R.S) was requested to the scene to assist in the investigation.
